+ I posted earlier about this swapnote message (to get it, you must have Ocarina of Time in your 3DS before opening swapnote) but looking at it closer, I’ve come to a few conclusions:
Majora’s Mask 3DS is NOT coming soon. Looking at the message, “New” is capitalized, much like Nintendo did when releasing “New Super Mario Bros.” This tells me they are working on a unique Zelda game, expanding the series rather than re-releasing an N64 game. However, this doesn’t mean we won’t get MM later.
The next Zelda is more than one game. It clearly says “games” here, plural. Nintendo has done this in the past with Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, two of the most unique and also underrated Zelda games, released on Gameboy Color. The games were highly inventive in that you could complete a quest in one, and then send the item to the other game. It isn’t possible to beat either game 100% without using this mechanic.
It would be really interesting to have a pair of games that use the 3DS’s features to their fullest and interact with each other in some way much like the Oracle games. But I’d expect to wait until E3 to find out anything concrete.

Nintendo’s early 2012 U.S. release schedule

tinycartridge:

Nintendo just put out its North American launch schedule covering all its platforms for the first quarter of 2012. It’s not as promising as the European slate — which has The Last Story, Pandora’s Tower, and Inazuma Eleven 2 — but that seems to be the pattern lately. At least we’re getting Kirby’s Block Ball and Jett Rocket Super Surf on eShop.

We also have a release date now for Kid Icarus: Uprising. Here’s the schedule so far for retail 3DS games:
